The Center for Microbial Oceanography Research and Education (C-MORE) Hale project,
completed in October 2010, recently won the 2011 Build Hawaii Award of Excellence and
the 2011 NAIOP Kukulu Hale New Project Award (Commercial/Other - 40,000 SF or less).
ACK also received the GCA Safety Award for Best in Category and Zero Incident Rate,
Heavy/Industrial 109,999 to 0 hours.
CURRENT PROJECTS

Renovation of Kuhio Park Terrace, Phase 1, recently began and is expected to be completed
in late 2012. Work consists of a complete floor-by-floor renovation of 550+ units in the two
main towers, as well as upgrades to the lobby, common areas, managements areas, and
laundry facilities.


Construction is underway on the new University of Hawaii West Oahu Campus, Phase 1A/1B.
Work consists of a classroom building, library, laboratory building, campus center, maintenance
building, and supporting infrastructure including a water tank, booster pump station, and multiple
access roads. Estimated completion is Summer 2012.


Construction on the new University of Hawaii Cancer Center began in November 2011 and is
scheduled to be completed in Fall 2012. This six-story, 160,000 SF research laboratory
facility features wet lab space, dry lab space, conference rooms, commercial kitchen, BSL-3
lab space, chilled beam technology, and a green roof system. The project is also aiming to
achieve LEED Gold certification.


On June 15, 2011, the Ward Village Shops parking structure was officially opened to the public.
Along with multiple surface parking lots, this structure will help alleviate the parking woes in the
Ward retail area. Work on Phase 2 of Ward Village Shops, the retail shell space, has restarted
and is scheduled for completion in late 2011.
